Last week during the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers game, small forward Rodney Hood had to be helped off the court after an apparent leg injury. The injury was called a lower leg injury initially but reports have started to come out stating what specifics of the injury.
According to the Portland Trail Blazers:
This is devastating news for the both Rodney Hood and the Blazers. Hood really impressed in the 2018 NBA Playoffs and earned himself a 2-year, $11 million contract to stay in Portland. His ability to shoot the ball was key in their playoff success last season and you could tell Hood was finally coming into his own after seasons of struggling.
Hood will miss the remainder of the season and hopefully he can be healthy by the time the 2020-21 season starts. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can get back to his normal self soon. Players like Mario Hezonja, Carmelo Anthony, and Afernee Simons will all need to step up.
